Wahoo Safeway!

Wow, I learned something cool today! You can actually upload coupons on your Safeway Club Card so that you don't have to carry it around with you!!! Yay! It will print out a list of the P&G coupons that you've uploaded!!! Good stuff!

Frusterated and Broke!

I am so frusterated! I feel like we never have any money and when we do it feels like its water- leaves my hands before it even hits it!!! I feel like I'm always trying...and trying... and trying... But nothing seems to be working... I always feel like we are trying to catch up and we can never get caught up. It just sucks right now!

My son the Birthday Boy!!

Well, his birthday is actually on Saturday but we celebrated his birthday at his school with pizzas, juices, and cake. The kids had so much fun and we left right before the sugar high hit- how smart is that?!?

I know some parents go all out for their kids and rent venues but we are not at the financial position to do thar right now. However, I think that Gavin will remember this for the rest of his life! He was able to celebrate his birthday with his friends, his teachers, and his parents. We will do another celebration as a family on Saturday at Chuck E. Cheese or the skating rink but I think we did okay. We have to take advantage of the fact that he really is not looking for presents right now- just a good time! He did get Spongebob Squarepants Lego set though and daddy helped him build it.

Happy Hump Day!

Wahoo! My wonderful GF Myndi gave me a bible since she found out that I didn't own one. This is because I have always been surrounded by people who had one so I didn't really see a need to ever get one for myself. I am so loved! It's better to recieve them anyways and I am sure she has left great energy on it!

Anyhoo, it is a short week and I love it! I've been waiting for the weekend since I walked in to work on Tuesday. I know, sad huh?

Oh yea! Grapes are currently about $1.68/lb at Freddy's right now which is exciting because I remember when it was almost 4bucks for a pound a few months ago! They are also have great sales on shoes and they are having a big sale on chidlren's clothing- 60% off on almost everything!

Extra ways to save money?

Just a quick note- selling Avon is a great way to make extra pocket money :)

Alaska Prices are not the Greatest!

I am trying to plan out the dinner menu for the week... I have to tell all the other mama bloggers out there- I envy your prices! One tip that I learned from one of my friends though is using frozen veggies. It saves me time and money and keeps my family healthy (except for my picky son!) I am always concerned that I won't use all my veggies and I end up throwing it away. Well... by buying frozen veggies that are flash frozen at their peak I use it when I need it and I get more variety that way too....

President's Day Blah!

It's nice to not work today; although, I really should since I actually have a lot to do. However, I wouldn't be sitting here blogging if I was at work :) I am new at this whole blogging thing and thought I'd give it a try. I actually got sucked in with just getting more information on how to be a smart savvy shopper at the grocery store from other busy hard working mothers out there. And I am excited to tell everyone.... I experienced my first coupon double up yesterday!!! My son picked out these $45 Z-Strap Skechers at Freddy's- they had a $10 off in store coupon and another 15% off shoes in the inserts. I am excited to say.... I only paid about $26 for them!!!! Wahooo! Score for the Mamas!!!
